Our lambs are born on the farm at Pinantan Lake in the spring and raised on nothing but their mothers’ milk and our own grass pasture. We use no chemical medicines or wormers on lambs bound for the freezer. The flock is our own Clun Mule cross (Clun Forest ewes bred to Bluefaced Leicester rams), a hardy breed well suited to the cold and to growing on grass.

What you get

• One whole lamb, custom cut and wrapped to your specifications. Half lambs are not available.

• About 25 to 35 lb of frozen meat, depending on your cutting choices. Plan on roughly three-quarters of a standard fridge freezer.

• Delivery in late November to your door or a pre-arranged drop-off point in Kamloops.

Pricing

• $14.00/lb hanging weight, including butchering and transport.

• Target hanging weight is 45 to 50 lb, roughly $630 to $700 per lamb.

• This purchase is the non-refundable $200 deposit that reserves your lamb. We invoice the balance once the final hanging weight is known.
